Sun, Moon and Stars

The Differentiator
Vol. 10 July-August, 1948 No. 4

Sun, moon and star saints are mentioned in Dan. 12:3 and 1 Cor. 15:41. "There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars." — Now these scriptures look forward to the post-resurrection glory, of course, but is there not a likeness of it even now? Seems to me these three grades of believers are all over now and here.

Star saints give a little tiny light — but no heat.

Moon saints give more light than the first, but they too are cold, distant, unsympathetic.

Sun saints have all what the others have, but much, much more. They have more light, and there is a life-giving warmth issuing from them. They attract, cheer, console, inspire. They emanate real life.

Maybe there is some relationship between the now and the hereafter in this condition?
